It’s D Day. Depart on our first family vacation to Disneyland day. I know what you are thinking, it’s your first time taking the kids somewhere? Yes and No. We do take the kids to visit family fairly regularly. This is different. We are headed to Disneyland. All the planning, preparing, anticipation, dreams, it all comes down to the next 10 days. Do you know how hard it was just to decide which bags I was bringing?? (My Thirty-One sisters understand) For the past few months my boys have been telling everyone all about the disney castle, the rides where
you say goodbye to the world (I’m still not going on that one…), our rental house with all it’s pools (I chime in “Pretty sure it just has 1 pool), and of course, the much anticipated trip to Legoland (where my boys will by “hundreds of thousands of Legos). Honey, I think we need to bring an extra suitcase.
The boys have been saving up for this trip. They have been earning quarters for good behavior and sometimes more than others having them taken away for not good behavior. They each have about $15 to spend at Legoland. I’m proud of them. They are learning. They’re children. They didn’t know much about earning money prior to this exercise and I truly believe they have really learned a bit about it since we started their Quarter Jars. Good job boys!

Coast Highway and so much more. We are going to cram it all in. We are going to take a big break from life. No work, no school, no Thirty-One, just family time, together. My family of five is going on a vacation!
