When I was little, I played with Barbies. ALOT. Basically I would lock myself in my room to get away from my three brothers. My Barbies all got married and they always had twin girls. Then another girl or two. Essentially, all my Barbies had daughters. I always wanted a sister. I tried to get rid of each of my brothers at one time or another. At big department stores they used to have the big deep shelves that would display comforters three deep or so. Once I took out a couple comforters, stuffed my brother Keith in, and then put the comforters back. When my mom asked where Keith was, I of course knew nothing. By the time she brought home my third brother I was ready to pack my bags.
She bribed me with a new room with pink carpet. I was nine, so of course I took the deal. I moved into my new room with pink carpet and My Little Pony bedroom set when I was 8. That was my favorite place in the world.
Not much has changed over the years, I’m still very girly. I got married after college and naturally when I was pregnant with my first child, it was going to be a girl. Wrong. It was a boy. Two years later, I had another boy. Four years later….you guessed it, another boy. I live in the testosterone ocean. So here I am, a girly mama, with three sons…
I’ve come up with some pros to having
all boys: A)
faxless payday advance

So because “store” and that bank Ultimately.I am the QUEEN of the house. Period. B) No one “borrows” my jewelry or clothes. C) These little boys LOVE their mama and I get more kisses than daddy. He he.
Regardless of the fact that I live in a house full of
testosterone, I am extremely girly. I pretty much curl my hair every day. I love jewelry, clothes, accessories. Pink is my favorite color. Then teal. Then Yellow. My office is my palace. It’s full of my pretties. Flowers, pink, sparkles, even my clock is a flower.
I have those pretty little flower lights along the back of my desk that sparkle as I work. It’s my girly space. NO BOYS ALLOWED!
I don’t want you to get the wrong impression. I live in Alaska and Alaska is dirty. I don’t mind getting dirty. I own a pair of USA made Extra Tuff boots (and a pair of flowered Bogs). I have a snowmachine (it has my name on it in pink). I go clam digging, fishing and camping. I’m pretty tough and I can keep with the boys. (I’m their mother, it’s in my job description.)
At the end of the day, I may be extremely girly and I may still wonder about having a daughter, but for now, I’m blessed beyond belief. I have three handsome healthy boys who love their girly mama more than anything. I couldn’t ask for more!
Nice post! Glad you didn’t get rid of me after all 🙂 see you soon in LA!
hahaha I love this!
